Leaf Printed Wrap Dress with Belt Detail

Yes! We are 1/2 way through the week and Halloween is in just 2 days! What are you going to be? I am going to be a gypsy and E is going to be Sophia the First. Hubby has to work on Halloween (boooooo) because right now is one of our busiest times of the year for our company. But......we are doing Trunk or Treat tomorrow night at our church, so at least he will be able to go to that!

Okay.. lets move on here and talk about this fantastic dress that I am wearing. I am in love with this leaf printed wrap dress. Everything about this dress is amazing. The quality/material, the detail of the print and the gold attached belt.

If you didn't get a chance to read my previous post, I started my own online boutique company called Sassy Sweet Modesty (about a week ago) and I couldn't be more excited about it. I have had such a great response and have been shipping out orders. Thank you for your support and your business!

These days, its so hard to find modest clothing that is chic, stylish and fashionable, yet modest. I have a huge passion for all things modest. Personally, when I dress modestly I believe it sends a message of purity and honor. It shows that I have self-respect and self-control over my body. When I dress modestly, I am saying that I posses inner qualities for which I should gain appropriate attention and value from others. I want to show and prove to others around the world that you can still dress modestly and look absolutely amazing! Right now my website is in the works and hopefully (fingers crossed) will be done soon. In the meantime, I have been accepting orders on Facebook and Instagram. If you have any questions or would like to order a specific item(s), you can contact me on FB, Instagram, or through email: kimberly@sassysweetmodesty.com

Happy Monday guys! Hope you had a fabulous weekend.
Ours was filled with friends, family and pool party fun!

If you knew anything about me, dressing modestly is a huge deal to me. When I choose to dress modest, I believe it sends a message of purity and honor. It shows that I have self-respect and self-control over my body. When I dress modestly, I am saying that I posses inner qualities for which I should gain appropriate attention and value from others.  I am always trying to find places where I can find modest tops, dresses, and skirts...Modest Pop is perfect for finding just what I need! All of their dresses, skirts and tops are stylish, sophisticated, and chic, yet they are all modest. I am completely in love with this awesome skirt that I was able to chose from Modest Pop. Thank you Camille! I love the bright cobalt blue color, the stretchy comfortable material and mostly the peplum detail along the top. A few weeks ago, my Dad surprised me with two new pairs of shoes, these cobalt blue ones being one of them. They matched perfectly! It was meant to be I guess! I Am a Mormon Monday: Meet Alexa

I'm Alexa from Written in The Midst! I’m a 20 year old life wanderer who loves to write about my random occurrences of life and little happenings. I'm a still trying to find my place in this big ‘ole world, but I love the adventure of it! I love all things random and crazy. I’m a lover of pictures and letters, capturing the best moments of my life. I love to write, and my blog is my go-to place for that. I love life, and I love to share mine with people! So, let’s be friends, because I would love that too!

What is hope, and what do you hope for?

To me, hope is an incandescent feeling of the soul. A feeling of trust, courage, desire, and a longing for everlasting happiness; anticipating for good through faith. I love the way Elder Steven E. Snow describes it as "an emotion which brings richness to our everyday lives." Our hearts are always full of hope, and I think that's a beautiful thing. When we hope, we begin a journey into a lifetime of good works. I hope for success, adventure, and meaning; for a future filled with love, opportunities to serve and to learn, and for others to experience the greatest happiness. Along with all the silly things like hoping to one day travel the world and ride in a hot air balloon ;)

How do I live my faith?

I live my faith through love. I consider my huge heart a gift, and I strive to use it in any possible way I can. I believe that love can change the world, and I like to think that I'm helping the world through open arms. I want people around me to feel the love that our sweet Savior has for them, and we can help them feel that by loving. I try to set an example in the way I talk, dress, and act, and hope that it affects somebody in some way. I'm not afraid to stand up for my beliefs and to share them with others. I look for the positive in all things, because I know that trials are blessings, and I strive to help people see that. I am extremely grateful for this church and have the deepest love for the gospel and my sweet Savior! I can’t even begin to imagine my life without it.

Thank you so much for having me Kimberly!

DOWN EAST BASICS: DAY TO DAY MAXI SKIRT #1

Josh and I just got back from Lake Havasu last Thursday night. We had a blast. It was so nice to finally get away, even if it was only for a few days. I can't tell you how much we both needed this little getaway from home. I had taken Friday off of work also, so that extra day PLUS the weekend was such a plus!

On Friday, Josh and I slept in, had breakfast and then he took me out to a nice lunch and to two of my favorite places Deseret Book and Down East Basics

Down East Basics had a buy one get 1/2 off sale going on, so you better believe I stocked up on all the skirts and dresses I could get my hands on! Josh kept coming to the dressing room with skirts and dresses "Oh..try on this one" and "How about this one?" He's too cute! I love him to pieces!

Below is one of the maxi skirts Josh picked out. I love the color and fun print of this skirt, but the best part is its long....like touching the ground and being able to wear heels or wedges long......just the way I like them.

Skirt // Top: Thrifted // Necklace: Down East Basics // Shoes: TJ Maxx // Sunnies: Ross // Watch: Target

High-Low Dress

Out of all the dresses and skirts in my closet, one style I have never owned until now is a high low dress.....that is until I saw this one at Nordstroms Rack and I had to have it. It's flowy, stretchy and
so comfortable. It also doesn't wrinkle very much either. I can wash it, hang it to dry and don't even
need to run an iron over it. This is the perfect dress to throw on and go. You can either wear it casual
with some flip flops or dress it up so it's very versatile. Thumbs up for the high-low dress!
