Flowy Flower Top and Sequin Headband

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was good, minus the fact that E got me sick on Saturday with a nasty cold. Sunday was a hang around on the couch kind of day. Today I am feeling just a tad bit better, but not too much. Hoping my work day flies by so I can go home and rest up.
So lets take a minute to talk about this top that I am styling! This probably has to be my new go-to top. I am in love with it and I thank my Husband Josh for picking it out. It comes in two different colors. Dark grey and cream. Josh tried to get me to buy both and I decided to just get the one and another plaid top that I had picked out. I regret that. After wearing it, I think I might just go back and get the cream colored one too now! I love the flower print, and how flowy it is. Its so soft and comfortable. I decided to pair it with black leggings, brown boots and this killer sequin headband which I have worn two days in a row.

I forgot to take pictures before we made the changes, but found these off of Zillow. Big difference huh?!?! From dark to bright. The only thing we are waiting for now is our curtains for our new sliding glass door and new window.

What I Wore: Stripes and Buttons

I am a lover of all things stripes. When I'm shopping, I am instantly drawn to tops and sweaters that have stripes. I'm especially in love with this one I am wearing, because not only is it striped, but it has button detail on the sleeves too.

Do you have clothes in your closet that don't fit you but you just continue to hold onto them in hopes that one day they will fit again?? I have a lot of "those" clothes. This dress is one of them. I bought this dress at Ross a long time ago when it fit me to a "T". I had to buy it! Especially with a price tag of $6.99! Wahoo! Boy do I LOVE clearance racks! Score!

Well...I gained a few pounds here and a few pounds there, so this pretty little thing just hung in my closet for months and months. On Tuesday night, we went out to dinner with friends. When I got home I was looking through my closet trying to decide what to wear. I wanted to dress up a little bit, still be comfortable and wear something that would be somewhat cool, since we are in the triple digits right now in Arizona. I spotted this dress hanging up in the back corner of my closet. I thought to myself...I would love to be able to wear that tonight but it don't think it fits still. A few seconds later, I grabbed it off the hanger and threw it on!

Wait!!! What?!?! It fits?!?! Are you kidding me?!?! Yay!!

I paired this dress with some red accessories to add a pop of color. The dress came with a matching belt to tie into a bow, but I switched it out and added this black belt instead to define my waist more.

You better believe I worked this dress when we went out!
