WHAT WE WORE.

As I was uploading these pictures of E and I into a new post, I looked at them a few times and got emotional. My heart was immediately filled with so much gratitude for how faithful the Lord has been. He truly has blessed our family beyond measure and I am so thankful to Him. I have prayed for the opportunity of one of my heart's greatest desires: to be able to experience Motherhood....to become a Mother. He has blessed me with just that and has trusted me (and my Husband) enough to care for these little ones with broken hearts that need to be mended...that only He can mend. This little girl has brought so much joy into our lives and I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for her and for our future little family. Yes...E may not be my biological little girl, but I am still her Mother for right now during this season in our lives and I love every single second of it. I truly believe that blood doesn't make a family.... only LOVE does.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans
and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.  -James 1:27

Fashion Friday Link-Up: My Favorite Skirt

Hello! I am so happy that it's Friday. This week has been pretty crazy to say the least.

Any fun plans for the weekend? I am working at the Phoenix Open on Saturday in the
Thunderbirds tent. I will be going around taking candid photos of the Thunderbirds and
their families having a good time. I love working this event! I meet a lot of great people,
get to eat food catered by The Herb Box (sooo yummy), and get to be in the midst of
all the action that is going on. Another plus, my best friend is working right along side of me!

Okay...let's talk about this skirt that I am wearing! I'm going to be honest and tell you that I
have a lot of skirts, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Some hung in my closet and about 2-3
drawers full. What can I say?! I love 'em! Whenever I go shopping/thrifting, it's right to the
skirt rack. I found this skirt at TJ Maxx about a week ago and fell in love. I went there to find
a cute dress or skirt. I found nothing at first, but as I was leaving I walked by a rack that I didn't
notice and there it was hanging there all pretty and bold! $12.99 and this baby was all mine!
What I love most about this skirt is the fun bold flower print, it's b&w, it's stretchy, and
the length is perfect. I can't tell you how HARD it is to find skirts like this that are not short,
see-through or cut off your circulation.....so when I do..you better believe I am getting it!

I think might have to make a quick stop at Target! Take a peak at her blog.

Wait! Don't leave! Make sure you link up your outfit below!
You might just be my pick for next Friday's link up!

What I Wore: Stripes and Buttons

I am a lover of all things stripes. When I'm shopping, I am instantly drawn to tops and sweaters that have stripes. I'm especially in love with this one I am wearing, because not only is it striped, but it has button detail on the sleeves too.

Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas and getting your last minute shopping done!!

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

Sunglasses: Jessica Simpson // Top: Ross // Skirt: F21 // Purse: TJ Maxx // Jewelry: F21 // Shoes: Payless

My friend Ayesha and I had to work a wedding over the weekend in Phoenix.
It was at a place called Encanto Park. The park was beautiful and had so many
spots to take some fun pictures. So I did! As I was editing the pictures and saw
the picture she took of my shoes, it reminded me of one of my favorite poems
called Footprints In The Sand. We have this poem hanging in our guest bathroom
upstairs. It was sent to us as a "just because" gift from my Dad when we moved in.
I love its message...every time I read it, I can think of different times in my life when
I have felt this way. He lifts us, He carries us, and He loves us more than we can imagine.
Trust in Him and let him carry you........

Footprints In The Sand

One night I had a dream...

I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.

I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.

This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;

But I have noticed that during the
most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why in times when I
needed you the most, you should leave me.

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious
child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.

When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.
