Work Baby Shower

Yesterday was my baby shower at work. I really couldn't ask for better people to work with. They all pitched and spend so much time to make my shower so special and spoiled me to pieces. So grateful for all of them!

Her face in this picture is priceless!

      Sooo many diapers! Holy Cow!!

Week 30 Bumpdate

How far along: 30 weeks and 3 days! Holy Cow! Time is flying by!

Baby Size: Winter Squash {2.5-3.8 pounds}

Weight gain: Before I was pregnant, I weighed 140-145. I now weigh 179

Maternity clothes: Wish I could just live in yoga pants and big tee shirts, but since I am still working its lots of maxi skirts/dresses, maternity tops, and flip flops.

Stretch marks: Probably...I just can't see them just like I can't see my own two feet.

Sleep: Broken sleep. I am usually up every 2-3 hours which is rough because I have to be up at 5:10 am for work. Yuck!

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: Yep! She twists, turns, and moves all over the place. Best feeling ever!

Best moment this week: Getting all the details together for my baby shower on May 30th.

Looking forward to: Meeting our sweet precious girl. Can't wait!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nada.

Symptoms: The usual, very long list of pains and discomforts. Out of breath, body aches, and tired to just name a few. My biggest discomfort right now are my feet. They are so swollen and tight all the time. They look like giant sausages!

Nursery: Is ready to go! Just doing some last minute picture hanging.

Belly Button in or out? In. I had my belly button pierced back when I was a freshman in High School and because of the constant growing and stretching of my stomach, it looks really interesting to say the least!

Wedding rings on or off? On but can't get it off anymore.

Mood: Anxious, nervous, and excited.

Bumpdate: 29 Weeks

How Far Along? 29 weeks
Weight Gain: About 30 lbs
Maternity Clothes? YES...all day everyday - can't fit in anything else!
Sleep? It's hit and miss every night. For the past few nights I have been waking up around 3:00am, wide awake and can't get back to sleep. When I do sleep through the night, I am so grateful.
Best moment of the week? I would have to say when my Husband Josh cooked me a candlelit dinner because he knows I haven't been really the best lately.
Weird pregnancy moment? Leg cramps...ouch!! In the middle of the night sometimes I go to stretch and my calves get SO tight that I have to get out of bed and stretch them for a few minutes. Also, I seriously cannot walk without waddling. I am SO SLOW.
Movement: Yes all the time. It's the greatest feeling ever!
Food Cravings: Egg sandwiches, chocolate milk, salad, and watermelon.
Anything making you queasy? Yes! The constant acid reflux that started about a week ago. I feel like I am going to throw up in my mouth and then it just burns! Yuck!
What I'm looking forward to: To finally hold sweet baby Olivia in my arms! I am so ready. Lets do this!!!

Bump Style: Black and White Damask Print Dress

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to this little space of mine. I am (finally) getting back to blogging and it feels pretty great. Today I have to share this fantastic dress with you. Not only is this one of the dresses from my online boutique (Sassy Sweet Modesty), but even more so, I jumped up and down when I was actually able to squeeze this cute big belly of mine into a size medium. Wahoo!

I love everything about this dress. The print, the cut, the zipper all the way up the back, the 3/4 length sleeves, and the length of the dress. It's modest, chic, fashionable and I think it accentuates my baby bump perfectly.

Dress: Sassy Sweet Modesty // Shoes: Thrifted // Sunnies: Nordstrom's Rack // Necklace: Ross // Bracelet: Gift from a friend

2015

2014 has come and gone so quickly. It's hard to believe its a new year already!
Last year was a year full of countless blessings, learning, loss, uncertainty, anxiety, and triumph.

Here are some of the things that happened in 2014:

* We took my Dad into our home to care for him and lost him in July. I can say that was definitely one of the hardest, if not the hardest thing that I have ever been through. With the love and support of friends and family and a loving God, I came out of that stronger and more determined than ever before. I saw God's hand constantly in the midst of everything. I felt His love, His grace and His peace more than I ever have before. It was a time of heartache and sorrow, but it also was a time of reflection, healing and thankfulness. There is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him like crazy, but I have a strong feeling of faith, hope and peace within my soul that I will see him once again. I know that to be true with every fiber of my being. Feel free to read my Dad's eulogy that I wrote for him HERE.

* In April, after months and months of foster care training we finally got our first placement...a 4 year old little girl that we fell in love with instantly. From the moment she stepped through our front door, I had this strong feeling that she was meant to be apart of our forever family. I have never felt so many different emotions as I did with fostering. I experienced feelings of heartache, sorrow, anxiety, peace, hope, faith happiness, uncertainty, and fear at different times. In November, E's Moms rights were severed and we are now in the adoption process. The process with take about 4 months or so give or take so she will be able to be ours hopefully sometime around April of this year.

* We became business owners. My Husband, Josh was the Operations Manager for a company called Gamez on Wheelz for a little over 3 years. When Josh first got the offer to work for Gamez on Wheelz, he wasn't too sure as the pay was not that much. We talked about it and prayed about it. I will never forget me telling him to just take the job because something was telling me that God had big plans for him with this opportunity. Sure enough, one day his boss called him and ask him if he would be interested in purchasing the company. We were both ecstatic, especially Josh because he has always prayed and dreamed about being his own boss. This was a huge undertaking to take on but the more we prayed about it, God was putting things into place fast. The money that we needed literally just showed up one day. The process which should have taken alot longer took just weeks and boom!!....just like that we were the owners of Gamez on Wheelz!!

* Just two weeks before E's court date and us finding out she will be ours forever, I found out I was pregnant!!! Months after trying and praying it finally happened!! These two wonderful blessings hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt speechless by God's faithfulness and His goodness. I was over the moon excited. I am now just a little over 11 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty good. Nauseous here and there and my back kills all the time but its all so worth it!

Overall, 2014 was such a great minus the loss of my father. But in the grand scheme of everything God is so good. He is always good!! I have a feeling that 2015 will be a great year....a year of many new things....new adventures, new things to learn, new trials and new beginnings. We are ready for you 2015! Bring it on!!

First Ultrasound

On Wednesday we had our first ultrasound. As I saw these pictures of our little one up on the screen, I was in completely awe. Speechless to say nonetheless.  I feel so blessed and blown away by God's grace.....by His awesomeness. I am awestruck by His constant hand in my life and by this little miracle that is growing inside of me.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
-Psalm 139:13
