Double Blessing

We are so happy to announce that this precious little girl that we have been fostering since April of last year is finally part of our forever family!! Her court date was on June 8th at 3 p.m. and then just 4 hours later baby Olivia made her debut into this world also. Two wonderful blessings in just one day!! It will definitely be a day that we will never forget. The miracles of God are nothing short of amazing! He is so good! Our hearts are so overwhelmed with gratitude and love. We love this little family of ours more than anything. ❤ {birth story to follow soon}

Bumpdate: Week 15

How Far Along? 38 weeks

Weight Gain: About 7 lbs

Maternity Clothes? YES - haven't been able to fit into anything else since I was 5 weeks! My go to place is Destination Maternity in Scottsdale. (leggings, leggings, leggings!)

Sleep? It's definitely hit and miss. A couple of weeks ago I was getting up around 2 or 3am with back pain and then up at 5am to get ready for work. I was so grateful for a long weekend last weekend. I was able to just relax and catch up on some sleep.

Best moment this week? E playing doctor with her Doc McStuffins doctor bag and listening to baby with her stethoscope. "Shhhh Mama...I need to hear the baby!"

Weird pregnancy moment? I have been experiencing cramping pain everyday. There are so many changes happening to my body that I cannot control. Some things I am just like "ummmm...it this normal??"

Movement: Not yet, but can't wait for that moment!!

Food Cravings: Burgers, Jamba Juice, Chinese Food, Cereal, Rice with butter

Anything making you queasy? Perfume, trash, farts and poop...hahahahaha!

Gender: We find out February 17th! I have a feeling its a boy!

What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the gender and the moment when I finally get to hold this little miracle in my arms!

SUNDAY DEVOTIONAL: HEART OF GRATITUDE.

Heavenly Father has truly blessed us beyond measure. God sent His only Son to die for our sins. God has given us the priceless gifts of eternal love and eternal life. We, in turn, are instructed to come before our Heavenly Father with reverence and thanksgiving. But we, as busy women get caught up in the inevitable demands of life, we sometimes fail t pause and thank our Creator for the countless blessings He has bestowed upon us. When we slow down and express our gratitude to the One who made us, we enrich our own lives and the lives of our loved ones too. Thanksgiving should become a habit, a regular part of our daily routines. Since God has blessed us beyond measure, and we owe everything to Him, we should give Him our eternal praise.

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.
- Psalm 100:4-5

"The act of thanksgiving is the demonstration of the fact
that you are going to trust and believe God.
-Kay Arthur

God is worthy of our praise and is pleased when we come before Him with thanksgiving.
-Shirley Dobson

Thanksgiving or complaining-these words express two contrastive attitudes of the souls of God's children in regard to His dealings with them. The soul that gives thanks can find comfort in
everything; the soul that complains can find comfort in nothing.
-Hannah Whitall Smith

It is always possible to be thankful for what is given rather than to complain
about what is not given. One of the other becomes a habit of life.
-Elisabeth Elliot

The ability to rejoice in any situation is a sign of spiritual maturity.
-Billy Graham

Thankful Thursdays & a GIVEAWAY

Today I am thankful for.....

Talents & Abilities

To be completely honest...this has been on my heart a lot lately.

Normally when I do Thankful Thursdays I just write a few things I am thankful for with a short sentence to go along with it.

When I started writing why I was thankful for talents and abilities, all these thoughts flowed through my mind. I just continued typing until I realized it wasn't just a short sentence...more like an english assignment I was getting ready to turn in.

So I have decided to share my thoughts with you on talents and abilities in another post.
I feel a lot of you will get a lot out of it and for some it will be just what they needed to hear.
