Last night, my Mom and I went to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the exhibit
Chihuly In The Garden. It was absolutely packed!! Before letting us into the parking area, the guard said that for most people it was taking them anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to try and find a parking space. We both figured well we came all this way, we might as well try and see if we can get one. Boom! Found one in 15 minutes! We toured the garden for about an hour. The glass pieces displayed were so amazing and beautiful. It makes you wonder how much time and work goes into making just one of these pieces. They are so detailed and delicate. Dale Chihuly's work is included in more than 200 museum collections worldwide and he has received many awards including twelve honorary doctorates and two fellowships from the National Endowments for the Arts. His work is simply amazing!!
