Good News!
We have all had jobs that we dislike or jobs that we like but there are a few things that keep us from really liking what we do.
Right??
Can I just say how much I love my job!!
I work as a Secretarial Assistant at a law firm here in Scottsdale.
I got to tell you first off that I really don't know how I landed this job.
God blessed me with this job 100% and I am so grateful for my job every day.
I realized it before, but the more I look back I see that there were SO many pieces that had to fall into place for me to get this job. Pieces that were put into place by a loving Heavenly Father.

How I got the job...
My resume was up against 350 other applicants, some who had previous experience working in a Firm and others who had a degree. I didn't have any experience working in a law firm and I never got my degree.
Keep that in mind..
Keep that in mind..
It got narrowed down to five interviews..
then 3....
then 2....me and one other girl
then ME!!
God is soo good!
I love the people I work with...
I love the work I do...
I love my boss...he rocks!
I love the positive, fun atmosphere...
I love that it's 1 mile from our house...Booyah!
I love that the environment is professional but laid back at the same time...
I love that there are always treats/goodies in the kitchen...
The Good News..
I have been working here for exactly a year this month and I have the opportunity for a raise come July.
When I had my first review, my boss told me to keep my eye open for anything that would interest me that I might want to do.
We had someone who quit his job as a Law Firm billing specialist and got a job at a firm that was a lot closer to his house.
I never even thought of that position as there were certain requirements and qualifications for it...
About a month ago, we had two big conferences and some attorney's came from the other offices.
I was doing my job and the secretary's job (she is out prego)
My boss met with one of them to discuss trying to find someone to fill the billing specialist position.
"What about Kimberly? She would be great!"
My boss: "Wow! I never even thought about that!"
My boss pulled me into his office to talk to me about the position..
I told him I needed some time to think about it.
That night I went home talked to my Husband about it and prayed about it. I told God that I really wanted the job but I would be happy with whatever the turnout may be and that I trusted Him.
I was a little hesitant because I knew of all the qualifications that they wanted. (5 years experience in a law firm as a billing specialist and Associates degree)
If it's meant to be...it will be....

Last week I had a video conference interview with two people from Detroit and....
I GOT THE JOB!!
I am so grateful for God's plan for my life, His love and His tender mercies. I am so amazed at how He leads and guides me each day as I experience this wonderful journey called life.
